Yeah, the half shaft and suspension angles are a critical aspect, and I agree with you @echoFLYER. The rough ride at max height is something I have experienced, too. The mid-level is good for daily driving.

I have experienced this. You are saved. Just apply a little silicone spray to the hinges and joints around the mirror. It helped cut down on the squeaking without any need for disassembly.

I have noticed some gaps can vary quite a bit. It is essential for them to be even, though! While I am not sure about the official standards, I would say that tighter gaps help with aerodynamics and keeping dirt out. If you are measuring yours, make sure to check both sides to see if they match.
