BMW ambient lighting issue

I received a notification from BMW saying my ambient lighting was no longer working, and now it’s completely off. I didn’t even realize it until they pointed it out. I’m about to make a service call, but before I do, I’m wondering if this is something simple like a fuse or software issue, or if it’s more complicated, like a wiring problem. Has anyone else had this happen to their BMW? Would love to know what I might be dealing with.
