Just read some exciting updates about the 4680 batteries and the new chemistry tweaks happening in Tesla’s Texas facility. They’re reportedly working on “revising 4680 chemistry composition,” which could bring a 10-20% range improvement to the Cybertruck! If this boost gets pulled into our trucks, it could mean some serious extra mileage. Either way, the possibility of a range bump is awesome news!
To put it into perspective, a 20% increase would push the range of the all-season Cybertruck up to around 380 miles, and the AWD might even reach over 400 miles! That’s some serious range improvement that could make a huge difference for long trips or those of us who want fewer charging stops on adventures.
Does anyone know if this chemistry change could be rolled out through the existing battery packs, or would it only affect newly manufactured Cybertrucks?
