I want to know how fast I can charge my Cybertruck at home. Can it handle 80 amps from a 100-amp circuit? How does bidirectional charging affect the charging speed?

So, the Cybertruck has an 800V battery. This means it will have a higher limit on AC charging.
Yes, it can handle it. But I think Tesla might limit the speed if the battery or wiring risks are too high.
The Bidirectional charging affects the charging speed, but don't expect something too significant.
I hope it helps!

Charging speed depends on your setup. Cybertruck can handle 80 amps, but bidirectional charging might slightly affect it.

Yep, you can definitely hit 80 amps on a 100-amp circuit with the right Tesla Wall Connector. That’ll give you some serious home charging speeds, around 19.2 kW, which means about 30 miles of range per hour (give or take). It’s as close as you’ll get to DC fast charging at home.

The bidirectional charging part, when using the truck to send power back to your home, you’re not technically charging the truck anymore, so it’s a separate function. Think of it like flipping the flow of energy. It won’t slow your regular charging down but does make the system super convenient for emergency backup or off-grid uses. Just make sure your home setup can handle it!
