So, I'm about to pick up my first Tesla, a Model CT. I've got a question about the PowerShare equipment. Can I use it to both charge my car and power my home? Or do I need a separate charging dock for the car and then add the PowerShare as an extra?

Also, while I'm waiting for the PowerShare installation, can I just use a standard 120V outlet to charge the car? Or would I need to rely on public charging stations

I remember the excitement before picking up mine.
To maximize your charging speed and grid independence, you'll need to install Tesla's latest wall connector on a dedicated 240V circuit. Consider investing in a Powerwall, which acts as a home battery. This system can not only charge your Tesla but also power your home during outages, providing a reliable energy solution. Just ensure proper wiring and configuration to seamlessly integrate your Tesla with your home's electrical system.

I highly recommend checking Tesla’s website. It will provide you with additional details you need and also required equipment.
