Cybertruck tailgate button glitch

You guys having trouble with their Cybertruck tailgate button? Mine suddenly started opening the tonneau cover instead. It's really weird and just started happening today.

It’s totally posibble that some moisture sneaked into the button thingy. A buddy of mine had a similar hiccup on a rainy day, and it ended up fixing itself out of nowhere. Just give it some time, it might sort itself out!

What if you just use the screen or app to pop the tailgate? Will it still cause any issues?

Try somehow to find the switch and dry it with a cool fan. I think the reason is what @Apachhe2 has said.
